I should have joined this forum ages ago. I remember when Minecolony first came out. Fun times, fun times. Running around with builders mod, mo'creatures, humans+ and a plethora of other mob mods was fun. These days we're stuck with just mo'creatures and millanaire now. So you can see why I decided to find this place again, and register this time. I read a few posts so I know not to make a 'why isn't this mod updated yer, gorramit!' topic.

Thank you for reading some of the older posts. Far too few people seem to understand how to use a forum nowadays. MineColony is still available for 1.2.5, and there's a group trying to re-code a similar mod for the current version of Minecraft. There's links to their page all over the place.

I did see that. I am hoping that with time, someone who knows how to code will offer to join our lonely dev and be accepted.

Since the code is partially property of devs that are unable to be contacted.. this is unlikley. RScott would need to get approval from the other devs to share the code, and it's really difficult to code a mod like this piecemeal.

I guess that would depend on copyright and if the mod was open/closed source.
If I remember, it was closed source and had no real copyright other than minecraft ToS, which has changed a bit since then. Following that line of logic, you could say the rule of ownership is in play here. RScott has the code, RScott is the only one available, so either theoretically and/or technically, RScott is now the sole owner of the code.
I wont go any further than theorizing or using the occasional technicality and path of logic.
That said, perhaps I should start a new topic for this particular discussion rather than clog up the introductions?

Probably wise, though mostly so others can find and participate in the discussion.
