Okay. So I've seen there are a lot of people on the forums that complain from a black screen or error when loading up MC. I just want to give you a step to step guide to downloading MineColony. Also, can this be sticky'd if deemed worthy. 1) Download MineColony RC20 2) Find a downgrading program (I use DownCraft) and downgrade your MC to 1.2.4 3) Download Magic Launcher (it helps a lot and tells you if mods won't work without you having to test) 4) Go to Risugami's mods 5) Go to Modloader 6) Go to older versions and then find 1.2.4 (not 1.2.4 Javadoc and it mustn't have an "A" or a "B" at the beginning) 7) Now open your MineColony winrar file 8) Go to "Run" %appdata%/Roaming/.minecraft 9) Put the "Put into Resources" file into Resources 10) Put the "Put into Mods" file into Mods 11) Put the "Put into minecraft" file into your .minecraft 12) Launch Magic Launcher 13) Go to Setup on the bottom right 14) Click add on the top right 15) Locate Modloader 1.2.4 and add it 16) If the case is the same as mine, at the bottom after you put in Modloader, MineColony will already be there and will say in bold red " Internal Mod" Don't worry about that. Doesn't affect your game 17) Load it and it should hopefully start! Also, you can see the version you are on from the setup and then at the top left it will say the version. Hope this solved many problems.

You don't have to use Magic Launcher, but if it helps, by all means do so!
I would reccomend running Minecraft after installing ModLoader to make sure it's installed correctly, and so it can create the "resources" and "mods" folders for you, in the correct location.

Yeah I know but you would guess that people would've already had the Mods and Resources folder. As well as the fact you said to run Minecraft after installing ModLoader in, the actual Magic Launcher itself tells you if there are errors by putting "Error (How many errors)

Good guide. One of the better guides for modding in general really. Karma for you. Also. Not sure if it is intentional or a typo; the 15th step says 1.2.4 instead of .5 If that is intentional, ignore this.

Yeah it was intentional because if you downloaded a 1.2.4 ModLoader (ModLoader 1.2.5 cannot be found in Older Versions) You will need to downgrade to 1.2.4. RC20 still works with 1.2.4 though.

There used to be a 1.2.5 version of ModLoader there. Wonder why it's gone now...

I think I might make a MineColony YouTube guide on how to install this mod. I've seen a lot of outdated download guides and want to keep this mod up to date.
Edit: Ok so I won't be making the YouTube video yet. I'm going to make it when I have a recording program and I will download it when I have the time.

No, it was because most of them aren't kind of up to date. My one (I think) is probably the latest installation guide. And by the way. I already made a video there is another thread I made and posted that video up.

The installation's been the same for pretty much ever. There's nothing about the installation process that's changed... so I don't know what needs to be updated.

I know yeah but people would rather go for the newest installation guide rather than the old one. It's just common sense really.

MC19 & 20 are for Minecraft 1.2.5 : NOT 1.2.4 once you have the correcty version of minecraft, get Modloader for 1.2.5 : follow the instructions to install that ; then get the MineColony zips and follow the instructions. ***** I am NOT a fan of MC20 , it kills off the people so much that it crashed FIVE worlds ( good thing I had back ups ) IF the population death rate is ended ( unless the citizens die to hostiles, lava, or get killed by the player ) then I would be happy to return it to my 1.2.5 games. I ONLY play minercraft 1.2.5 : I got too much incvested in my world there to " upgrade " to some half broken minecraft that the Mods I enjoy will not work in. BTW : if anyone has a copy of CRAFTABLE MOB SPAWNER : www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1348249-125sspcraftable-mob-spawners/i would greatly appreciate it .
