Either that's the wrong syntax to use on the sign for that floorplan type or there's something wrong with the floorplan itself, I forget which. The builder comes out, looks at it then goes back to his shack right?
I'll test with it later, I've seen this before but I forget what the answer is and I can't find it in the forums... have to go do some busy work stuff...
EDIT Ok, the walkway floorplan isn't used anymore and it's outdated. Use a different floorplan, like gravelroad#. (where # = 1-5 and happens to be the width)
(note that by default, the colonists AI prefers gravel to walk on. They will prioritize gravel when pathfinding and will walk faster on it as well)

STOP already !!! Ok: you established it did not work : good, so did I NOW you move on : Gravelroad 1 thru 5 is interesting, takes some time ( or edits to the files until you get them yummy. However : I can help...which is why I replied.... User Floorplans has a Awesome road done by Chaiboy, I edited mine slightly so I have the original and a one lane thing that replaces the un-working walkway ( and adusts to land levels ) minecolony.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=minecolony&action=display&thread=8&page=10

wow joey really? REALLY JOEY???
I'm sorry but that's really not at all helpful. How is a new floorplan going to help when he clearly IS having trouble getting building to work to begin with?
Yes, he IS missing something or doing something wrong. Why not instead make sure he's using the latest version? Or make sure that he's got enough materials? Has he tried right clicking the builder to see if the builder has any complaints? Has he tried turning on unlimited builder supplies to debug and see if it works at all?
Don't just tell him to STOP! and to use a different floorplan.
Edit: And I apologize for the harshness of that, but your reply to network618 left me feeling exasperated. This community is pretty dead as it is and when someone comes here for help, the few of us remaining that actually check in from time to time should try to help.

I agree with star, 100%.
Answering a question that the OP did not ask is not help.
Telling someone to stop asking for help is bullshit.

they make them now thank you so much! That's great, glad to hear it. Was it a lack of supplies, or what was it?
