There is a bug or glitch in my game when i placed some farmers in the desert on dirt that i placed.....they don't work at all and I have built all the huts and tools, etc. Also the builders will bug out once in a while, and also one last thing, when i configurate the working range of the builder, it maxes at 100 blocks even if I put 500-1000.
I have these mods installed: Minecolony, Milienaire, Minimap, TMI
I'll post up edits if i find a solution for this or not.

I am full of questions: What are the ranges for the various characters? Like, how far will a Builder go, or a citizen looking for a home, or a lumberjack looking for wood? I want to plan out my city, but not knowing how far they will go makes it difficult. ~CaspianSK

I have found a small issue, The supply chest keeps telling me its already been placed when i just made a fresh world.

That issue sometimes happens if the new world has the same name as an old world. Minecraft doesn't always completely delete the worlds fully. There is a way to fully delete them manually but I don't have access to my computer that has minecraft on it atm so I don't know what it is, I am sure one of the fine folk here will help. As a temporary workaround, just use a name for the world you have never used before.

There is a bug or glitch in my game when i placed some farmers in the desert on dirt that i placed.....they don't work at all and I have built all the huts and tools, etc. Did you give them hoe, shovel, seeds? 100 range is 25 seconds walking in a straight line from the chest, that means it covers the space of 50 seconds of walking in a straight line, it's really quite far. I suspect the cap is in code for performance reasons. You could try a 2nd builder? I know there are issues if they overlap but if you are careful it might be ok?

I am having an issue with the miner. For some reason, he just stands there doing absolutely nothing. He has 2 irons picks and one iron shovel as well as 15 torches. Yet, he does not mine. Try putting the tools / torches in the chest, rather than throwing them to him. If that doesn't work, try pushing him one square away, will force him to recalculate his path. If that still doesn't work, night-time might reset him

Closing out of the game and back in should also reset him.

The chests do not spawn workers. They used to in a very old version of the mod, but they don't anymore. Check out this link to a thread that goes over the basics. So just out of context here, what will be the new chests and building,etc,and also I have the invasion mod installed and I was wondering if the guards in the new update could defend the town from the invasion mobs. This is just a suggestion though I wouldn't mind much if it didn't work because there is the castle defenders mod, but i wanted to have a more legit defense team.
Now back to the mod: I have found a bug where there will be double women sometimes men in a hut. House5 doesn't work just makes the builder go back and forth. Workers would sometimes end up in another worker's area [ex: 2 miners on separate areas and then both end up on one area]. Baker just stands by the furnace all day, though I only used him once and gave up since I did most of the baker's jobs already.
Another suggestion: Blacksmiths should smelt and craft tools, armor, and swords while smelting stone, sand,and ore. The delievery man should diamonds iron ingots/ores to the blacksmith. The finished product will go to the people who need it.
A third and final suggestion: Hunters should be changed into archers since they use dogs and bow and arrow, they seem more warrior than gatherer of mob drops. Guards and archers[if you change hunter] should patrol the village on set paths like a cobblestone path for instance, they should patrol it until morning or nights [ a patrol setting for night or day shifts which cannot be changed except by breaking the chest and replacing it.

The chest is a block You craft. Building is building which is built around the chest. Tests will show how efficient guards will be against invasion mod. We will have our own enemies.

The invasion mod will be a test of mine, but i have to get past easier tests, like humans+ and mo creatures. i have patrols working, and the guards will be day and night (no sleep). I hadn't thought to have different patrol routes for day and night. Its a neat idea but considering i already have 2 routes per guard tower, it will get complicated fast. The guards don't collect things, thats not what they do. I only have the barracks working and simple guards working. They easily take down skels and zombies, i have to dumb them down a bit.
