With my internet being out for the past few weeks or so, Monster Hunter on my PS2 emulator has saved me from insanity

And I get TES Skyrim in under a week! *squeals*
I'll likely end up disappearing like I did when my internet went out, lol

Heh. My bf's getting it the Monday after it comes out. I still haven't played Oblivion. Stupid POS computer won't run it. >.< I'll enjoy watching him play Skyrim though. He wants to fix my other computer (either the ram or the motherboard went kaput, we're not sure...) so I can play some better games.

If your computer wont run oblivion, it definitely wont run skyrim. Compared to daggerfall, morrowind was freaking uber, compared to morrowind, oblivion was great, and compared to oblivion, Skyrim is going to be insanely good. Who kjnows how awesome TES VI is going to be.

Exactly. His computer'll run Skyrim just fine... Mine won't... which is why I'll watch him play, instead of playing it myself.
I tried playing Morrowind on the xbox. Holy sh-t, what a waste of time. I've seen how much better it is on the computer.. and I've heard that there's some glitches in the xbox version that make the game unwinnable, though I guess they could have made a patch to fix those.

I've got the xbox GOTY version, yeah I dont like playing it because load times suck and lack of mods suck for TES games, but I've been able to play it all the way through several times.

Real question is BF3 or MW3....
I'm leaning towards MW3 myself - I think the vehicles aspect of BF3 isn't really what i'm looking for...

Unfortunately I'm not a big fan of any of that style of game -- BF3, MW3, CoD, etc. -- so I can't say I'm leaning toward either, or even know what "the vehicles aspect of BF3" is. lol
Sometimes after work at my office, we all get a LAN game of Age of Empires 2 going (yes, I said 2). It's pretty awesome. Brings back a lot of youthful memories, lol. Would it bring back memories for any of you guys?

Yes. I miss AoE, but just about anyone stomps me in that game.

So... I finally got my real computer working. I'm playing Oblivion for the first time. Wow. On the one hand, I can't wait to play Skyrim... and on the other, I want to keep playing Oblivion until I've done ALL THE THINGS.

Expect to play for about 150-200 hours if you want to do ALL THE THINGS I hope you have the game of the year edition too, otherwise you're missing out on bug fixes, the shivering isle xpac and the knights of the nine plugin. PS. Skyrim is much better than oblivion, if you're liking oblivion you'll be blown away by skyrim.

Skyrim is great, but has a lot of bugs...
OP Horses (great tanks) - graphics glitches, crappy mob AI sometimes.... If you havent started playing it yet, i'd probably wait until a patch/expansion comes out that adresses these things..
It is still very playable though, so if you cant wait dive in !!!!
