So i posted in the bug forum and thought it would be polite to at least introduce myself here.
I just got into Minecraft and throughly love MineColony.
I am originally from Seattle but live in England right now. Buying minecraft is currently a great challenge so I am having to borrow a friends copy. . .yes I know that sounds bad, but because I live in England, but my credit/bank info is from the US .. none of the current methods allow me to buy it myself, not even paypal, which is confusing. . .

Hello! Welcome to the forums.
I stopped using PayPal years ago because everyone I've talked to has had so many problems with it. It's such a pain in the ass to use. Why can't you use your credit or bank stuff though? People from the US who vacation there don't usually have problems.

im in the US military, not really vacationing here. . .
But because the billing companies they use auto detect my IP being in England it doesnt work. . . and i never trust using a proxy server to post personal info like that. . . .

I didn't say you were on vacation, just wondering what the exact issue was. I actually assumed you'd changed citizenship. What branch are you in?
Yeah... proxies can be iffy. Most are fine, but it's not really worth the risk. There's no-one back home you can get to buy it for you, and pay back? I'm trying to think of a way to make that work without risking anyone's personal info to a stranger... and the only way I can think of is if you have a friend or family member back home. Of course, I know how some people are about videogames in general, and Minecraft in specific (not being a real game blah blah).
Meh. I don't really care. Between Mojang's attitude about piracy and the fact you've obviously tried... I have no problems. Hell, I spent like 2 months playing a pirate version until I could buy Minecraft. I didn't have a bank account at all and had to convince someone else to buy it for me and let me pay them back.

You could try using Tor, the speed will be slower due to its nature but if you can get a US node you could try that way. You'll have to add them specifically from a list (using Vidalia as a frontend for tor) but its do-able. (For adding them manuelly checkout:http://www.ghacks.net/2008/01/29/configure-tor-to-use-a-specific-country-as-an-exit-node/) For Tor: www.torproject.org/
