The 1.9 prerelease has been "leaked" by Jeb, just like with 1.8. His tweet about it, with download link, is here. MineColony is now compatible with 1.8.1 Link However, MineColony for 1.9 will not be released until after Minecraft 1.9 officially comes out.I suggest if you're going to play with Minecraft 1.9, you backup your bin folder, or use something like Minecraft Portable to have multiple .minecraft folders. If you've already replaced your 1.7.3 jar file, we can't give it to you, but it's out there on the net if you look. To back up your bin folder on a PC:Open up your startbar and find "Run" Type in %AppData% into the Run box. It'll bring up a window with a bunch of folders in it. Find the .minecraft folder. Inside the .minecraft folder is the bin folder. right click on the bin folder, and select Copy. Figure out where you want your backup to be. Right click there, and select Paste. Rename the folder to something like "Minecraft173Bin" Done. Sorry folks, I dunno how to do it on the mac. To use the pre-release, simply download the jar from the link above. Start with a fresh install of Minecraft (click "Force update" in your launcher, or delete your .minecraft folder and re-download it via the launcher.) Use the method above to go to your .minecraft folder. Inside the bin folder, there should be several files, including the minecraft.jar. Replace that minecraft.jar with the prerelease jar. Close out of the .minecraft folder, and you're done. Please keep all discussion about 1.9 in this thread until it is officially released.

1.9 is lookin pretty neat with all the magic stuff they're adding. Gives me an idea for a new type of villager: the wizard/warlock. They would make all kinds of potions for you. And with that enchanting table coming as well, perhaps an enchanter, or another job of the wizard.

Personally I'm not a fan of all the magic stuff coming out, I believe the magic stuff should have been kept in mods. Minecraft shall not be the same

They're adding magic?
I swear, I really don't live under a rock.
I think basic stuff like potions or maybe automated crafter golems wouldn't be bad for the game, but letting your steve shoot fireballs should stay in the realm of mods. 1.8 changed minecraft completely for me, so I'm not really surprised that 1.9's doing some major overhaul either. It'll be interesting...

Well, it doesn't look like they're adding spells. Yet. Just potions to instantly restore health, make you run faster, breath under water, basic kind of stuff. And I have no idea what weapon enchanting will do, but i'm sure it'll be like, set fire on strike, extra damage, things like that.

Are you going to come out with another update for the 1.9 pre-releases before minecraft comes out? And will the Hunter kill all the animals? ( As I found in the prereleases animals do not spawn unless breed them. So if you have a Hunter killing them all that be very annoying)
And I am having a problem with the 1.8 update floorplans of the house level III. ( See attachment) if anyone can advise me what to do appreciate it.

The 1.8 update didn't come out until after Minecraft 1.8 came out, so I doubt the 1.9 update for MineColony will come out early.
I don't see any attachment.

An official 1.9.x wont be released from Mojang now will it - thought they said only "Pre-Releases" until full launch (in a months time).
I don't expect Minecolony to get an "official" update therefore until it's made compatible with the full release

I'll make an RC15 (soon, vlads testing it now) for 1.8.1. And i'll make it more or less official and change the thread title.
Whatever RC we're up to for 1.9 won't be released until MCP is updated, and that will likely be at least a week after the official release of 1.9.x. (I suspect there will be lots of changes and lots of work to get it going, just like it took a while for MCP for 1.8).
And then of course that depends on what day its released, i mostly work on weekends, so a monday MCP release will mean 4 days of it just sitting there until i can look at it on friday.

Apparently MCP and modloader have been updated to 1.9.5 pre release 5. I have minecolony running on my machine with 1.9.5. I'll see about getting RC15 out this weekend.
