I would just give a footprint of the FINAL level of building so you can see where it will ultimately wind up.. AFAIK no buildings get smaller as you upgrade them

Thats true you really dont want to "footprint" of townhall 1 and then put a house right next to it then upgrade it gets built into the townhall

Agreed. Hell, I'd almost want to just make a fence go around the perimeter of where the building will be...

I like an Angles too but i think there should also show door placement. Since doors isn't always at the egde of the footprint of the building. Also should be nice if you want to plan your roads to the roads before its build. Entryway markers added. Thats true you really dont want to "footprint" of townhall 1 and then put a house right next to it then upgrade it gets built into the townhall The town hall does not increase in surface area usage from level-1 to max level-4. It is 26x21 in both floorplans, but in the level-1 version it just clears the land, and the level-4 version builds wing rooms on that cleared land. I haven't exhaustively verified it, but I think all the building upgrades are designed to have identical ground dimensions, to avoid just such a mess.
