So I first played minecolony through the yogbox, and really loved it. I ran into an issue of colonists not defending themselfs, and decided to look for a more updated verson, and found that there is an RC20 out and that it has guards. So being completely ignorant to modding and such, I looked up how to install it, I followed the directions step by step, reverting from mc1.4.7 to 1.2.5, downloading modloader 1.2.5 (since the new one is out), and rc20, but continued to get a black screen upon trying to start up minecraft with mc20 loaded. Is there something Im missing?

Try installing again, and running minecraft once you have installed just Modloader.. If that runs fine then do the minecolony install..
Most of these issues usually stem from not having an actual copy of Modloader 1.2.5 (which is hard to find)

I have posted up a text guide in the "Help" section of the forums. I have also posted up a video guide on the same "Help" section of the forums. I made them both and that method worked for me so it should work for you.
Also, you will not be able to find ModLoader 1.2.5 as the ones people post is either 1.3.x or 1.4.x

I suppose it is the modloader being incorrect, i cant tell which version it actually is, but it doesnt seem to work for any 1.2.5 mods. I suppose i will just wait till the update and use the most recent modloader. thank you guys.
