Slopes and Finite Liquid beat Buildcraft and Industrial craft? I'm not sure about this Tom Hattfield guy...
Too Many Items was left out completely. Sure you can do pretty much everything it does with SPC, but TMI makes it so much easier.
And the yogbox as number 1? It's not even a mod, just a compilation.
But on the other hand, I am glad that Minecolony is getting good recognition.

My bf saw this yesterday, and I was so gonna post about it today. Beat me to it, scott!
I can see why Slopes and Finite Liquid beat Buildcraft and Industrialcraft... One of my bf's huge complaints about Minecraft is that everything is blocky. He saw Slopes and wanted it *so bad* for this castle he was building... on our server. Slopes (at least at the time) doesn't work on servers. Liquidcraft adds more realistic water physics... which also adds some water-based mechanisms. It seems more intuitive than Industrial/Buildcraft. Industrialcraft and Buildcraft also have multiple installs, if I remember correctly. (I've downloaded them like 3 times, and keep meaning to try them out, but haven't.)
Yogbox is a compilation, yes. It's got all the conflicts worked out though, and the automated installer is what sells it, methinks. Most people have a hard time modding Minecraft. All the mods in it are also very complimentary. It might as well be one huge mod.

There's a chance that these are not in any order, but TMI should have been in there considering how popular it is.

Tales of Kingdoms is a great mod as well. Works great with Minecolony!
