Oh I don't mind using forge, don't misunderstand. I just don't know enough of how it works to screw with using multiple mods if they require screwing with any of the forge-related files.

Oh dont get me wrong Vega, I know how important forge is, I just wish they would quit screwing with it constantly. Mojang needs to get it together and get an official API out. It's like beta never ends.

they just made it "gold" so they could start charging the full price Glad I got mine at Alpha Yeah wish I had too, only when they went beta did I take notice, I said WTF is all the fuss about some crappy game with 8 bit graphics and WhoTF in their right mind pays money for an alpha build of anything. In a few hours I was hooked. Still, considering how many hours of my life have been sucked away by Minecraft I've gotten my moneys worth out of it and then some. Wish I could say that for a lot of games I've paid 60 bucks for.

I missed alpha by like 10 hours, because my bf was going to buy it for me, and forgot until the day after it went to beta.

Actually alot of indie developers are getting into that payment archetype. Pay for a discount in alpha, it helps fund the game and you get the full version later down the line. It's actually a great system as long as the developers are legitimately working on a game.
It's possible for people to use this as a scam, posting nothing but concepts and basic art and asking people to "fund their alpha build". I've heard of it happening before, but it's not a common thing going on. The basic rule of thumb is to do your research on the developers and only pay for the game if there's a playable game available to you.
And I think I've gotten at least my significant other's $60 out of skyrim, lol
