i've just signed up to say a few words, hopefully wont be considered trolling
i remember hearing of this mod back when it first came out and i was still fresh to minecraft, didn't like the idea that much back then..
but the minecraft world may be a lonely one heh, i started playing with it about a week ago, when i checked out yogbox after taking a break from tekkit
i have to admit it satisfied a ton of ideas accumulated over countless hours spent in MC.
but i was playing yogbox, and it comes by default with a ton of mods besides minecolony in particular millenaire, with which i haven't got to play as much as minecolony to be honest.
these two mods seem to be getting in eachothers way, at least it seems like so after a week.
i don't see a necessity in that.
millenaire has developed heavily the roleplaying aspect, minecolony seems to concentrate on functionality and compliance, which is exactly the reason i've grown to like it so bad =]
which leads me to a few suggestions-
i was thinking of how great it would be if one could have more control over the delivery man, tell him to pick certain items out of different chests, beyond the default of the mod.
that was the direction, here's a list
1 a chest+piece of paper (shapeless recipe) to create a chest with a demand list for the delivery man
perhaps a gui for the chest similar to the gui of all the house blocks
in my opinion it would lower the need for default complexity inside the mod and rather let the user complicate his own worlds
2 "general worker" npc's - an npc that the player would be able to give demands to automate a process, preferably using an interface similar to CC ( computer craft ) such as.. taking items out of machines, keeping track of processing time, and ofc being compatible with other mods ( like industrial craft2, build craft, equivalent exchange, thaum craft2.. or rather being able to do it dynamically similar to the way pipes of one mod may work across other mods )
i do apologize for suggesting ideas that require a ridiculous amount of work.
but again im not demanding anything, just giving something to think about for the future =]
thank you for making this mod =]
sincerely anon.
