I was wandering if it was possible you could implement the following ideas into the mod:
- When the player dies and their bed is 'obstructed or missing' they automaticly go to the town hall block
- when a colony person (miner, farmer etc) die, they respawn after an allotted time (i get annoyed when a miner randomly dies and i cant get another one...)
- Perhaps a book or note that tells you what things you can craft, the buildings builders can do etc.
- a block that the delivery boy walks on instead of going between signs - like a path or using posts (a block would be easier)
- compatability with mods - Miners can mine other things eg mo' gems mod and stuff like that (i dont know how easy this one is)
- a server where players can build structures that can be reveiwed to be implemented into the mod (rather than having to type loads of letters and uploading it to the forums)
- a landscaping colony person that basicly makes pathways and lamps etc between the houses and makes the area flat
- A cafe/restaurant block that spawns a chef, can get food from the hunter
- a guard, like the hunter but melee and follows the path set by the landscaper or or you can set him to do what you choose (like follow a worker, follow yourself, hunt, guard a spot or follow the paths set by the landscaper)
I hope you like my ideas and can put them onto the 'in progress' section because i think that most of them are great ways to improve the path finding and general fun of the mod!!
THANKS AND GOOD LUCK ~ Jathomas

The miner should already mine ores from other mods.
MineColony is not multiplayer. The mods are not planning on making it multiplayer any time soon. It's really not that hard to save the floorplan file (as you can have the builder create one using the scan command. check the wiki.) and upload a screenshot for the forum.
The mods have already discussed adding path and lamp building to the builder.

I'm not a dev, so I don't know what's possible to add and what's not. Personally though, I don't want a landscaper.

Colony people, if they die, will respawn (a new guy will spawn and take his job). * Check your miner is really dead, press recall on his chest and see if he comes back. Or go down the mine and find him, he may be stuck, help him out! * If he does die (unlikely) then a new villager will spawn but if you have other possible jobs to take then he may take a different job. If you use the new roads then the deliveryman will automatically walk on the roads (and you can choose your own road block in minecolony.properties file). I have thought about making unemployed people help out making the area flat but I don't know the best way to tell them what to do (we could place signs.. or something else?). We're working on guards / soldiers ;D

I really like the idea of a landscaper. Maybe if you placed a flatten sign, people will flatten the area to the level of that sign for a radius of 10 blocks or something? but without damaging buildings though..

That's actually a pretty cool idea...
Place a sign saying "level x" (or something similar) then when you whack a villager with the sceptre, they search for the nearest sign and level the ground around the sign for x blocks to the level of the ground the sign is planted on...
I'd suggest for ease though they destroy everything above that sign height, even if it is a building. This shouldn't be an issue if you can set the block range for the level.

I've been making floorplans with a lot of clear space as a leveling tool. It would be much better if there was an official way to level space.. Especially if you could get everyone to help.
