Hello,
I hope this is the place to post this.
Anyway, I have been playing this mod with the yogbox recently, and have really enjoyed it. What I was wondering, is if I may have your permission to port it to Spout, and basically make it for multiplayer.
I might not start it right away, but when I have time, I just wanted to make sure I have permission to do it.
Also, if anyone was wondering, this would take a really long time so don't expect it any time soon.

I think they said that they didn't want it to go multiplayer. Though I for one would absolutly love to be able to run this mod on a server. It would be perfect for each person being able to run their own "kingdom"

That plugin has nothing to do with this mod. Kingdoms doesn't have npcs, and its just a way of claiming land. All it is is an anti-griefing plugin, with an RPG effect to it.
I wanted to make a plugin where you can have npcs that gather resources for you, and if I can get it to work, possibly build.

It would likely be better to start that from scratch, and do it in a way that wouldn't scar the landscape as the minecolony miners do.
The millenaire miners would better suit that purpose because they're set to gather a specific resource at a specific rate without creating really long tunnels. In multiplayer you'd want your NPCs to be as contained as possible.

Well, it wouldn't be an exact replica of the mod, but I'd try to make it similar.
The goal of the plugin is to have NPCs who gather resources for you, and maybe even build for you. (like the builder).
Also, I don't think Millenaire's NPCs actually do anything except for build.
Also, yes. I would be making this from scratch. I don't know if I need to ask for perms, because it is similar, but not exactly the same. I will probably use a different name anyway, so I guess it doesn't matter if I ask you or not.
I was inspired by this mod though. ;D

It seems that Dinnerbone is trying hard to get the single/multi player versions more aligned. i suspect this will have the side effect of making a multiplayer Minecolony more of a possibility.
You are certainly free to copy the idea and make your own multiplayer copy of it, don't use Minecolony for its name please.
I'd be interested in seeing it when its mostly working.

I actually wasn't planning on using Bukkit, but rather the new upcoming SpoutAPI. With it, I'll be able to do a lot more, and the NPCs are supposed to be easier to handle, let alone be able to use custom skins.

Do you mind if I use similar textures for the blocks and NPCs?
