Hi gang,
I have been following minecolony for some time now and keeping an eye on progress and development along with other mods buzzing around for minecraft. I recently came back to this mod and I am very impressed with its new features and design path. I currently have other new mods that I am playing with, but I am having so much fun with minecolony that I havn't even made it around to the other mod selections yet!
Just a few general questions about the your setup for your own mine colony:
How do you arrange your villages?
Do you set up "sections" of a village?
What are the first 4 worker buildings you construct to employ your first 4 free male villagers?
Which buildings do you typically upgrade first and why?
How many of each worker building do you place to insure a steady supply of resources?
How many villagers have you ensnared with the golden scepter and pushed off a cliff?
Ha! Just curious to gather some interesting tid bits from the community. As I continue to explore the mod I am still trying to find the most balanced setup for my village, and I am still trying to learn the dimensions an get used to the village upgrades. On my first round I had my townhall collide with my warehouse. Heh. I am also trying to formulate a speedy delivery system. The one delivery man does not seem to be enough for all of the worker buildings I have. Just a thought I had possibly for the mods future is instead of placing multiple workers chests, to possibly hire up to 1-3 (or some number) workers from a single chest. So you could place one lumberjack hut and assign more workers later on after the village grows instead of having to place multiple buildings. Although, I like seeing the village grow so that may not be necessary, but with the delivery man hut it may be an idea. I'd like to have multiple delivery men, but I can't seem to get them to operate out of the same building. There is alot of collision still going on.
Anyway. Love the mod and if anyone has some awesome village setups then please share!
