Hi I've been playing minecolony for a while now and everything on it is awesome! The only thing I thought would make it better is to be able to see the area the builders going to build over. I don't know much about modding so I don't know how hard this would be to do but there is an add-on to world edit which lets you see the area your editing, it appears as the mesh that appears when you put your crosshair over a block so you might be able to use that in your mod. Awesome mod though and I can't wait for the new professions especially the blacksmith, and what version of minecolony does the Yogbox use because the baker is there but the farmer still seems to make crops randomly

That would be a cool idea. For now though, check the floorplans located in your Resources folder. Also, here in the near future, I will be adding Base Placement Diagrams onto the wiki page.

Yeah that problem when a building destroys another building is really a pain in the butt.I hope that will be fixed.

... there is an add-on to world edit which lets you see the area your editing, it appears as the mesh that appears when you put your crosshair over a block so you might be able to use that in your mod. The Minions mod displays a wire frame with a highlighted stairs entry block when you order them to build a mine shaft. I'm guessing that anything like this in MineColony would be a post-placement effect, like a construction zone marker cube going up as soon as a chest/sign is placed. What might be cool is to add a sign behavior. Instead of "build" there would be "mark" or "zone" or some such that just displays the cube without sending the builder to start construction. Then you could lay out an area.

I agree, this would negate the need for plans that clear an area out ahead of time, but hey, this would make placement a lot easier
