For starters let me state that I am using MineColony rc18a on YogBox 1.2.5. At least this is what I have gathered. Not 100%
I can place the boxes without issue. All files appear to be in place. Villagers are spawning and taking their careers. When accessing the 'Build House' button within the action tab the button is greyed out and no sign is posted on the box. Tried 'Rebuild House' since it is not greyed but nothing happened. I was able to get the builder to build the townhall by placing a sign but the builder builds around this sign and not the box. So this able to be worked around but any solution to this would be greatly appreciated.
*edit: According to the zip file in the pack it is rc19.

Almost always when the build house button isn't lit, isn't because the floorplan file is not where it expects it to be.

Floorplans are in the resources/floorplan folders. The builder can find the floorplans if I use a sign. Not sure where else I can try to put the folder. Any ideas?

Try to update minecolony.properties file. Copy over or delete old one and copy new file. Use latest one from RC19 if you are using it.

Not sure where to pull a new properties file from.
If I force it to re-update I have to re-set the BarracksBlockID. Which I have to add to the file. also have to add the barracksFloorplan=barracks line.
The 'Build House' button was active on the citizens hut but when activated the sign it posts says "Build null1."
Not sure why it would work if I use a sign but not from the box. How does the dir call work? does it locate current dir and then call resources/floorplan. May be different with YogBox though I guess.

The properties file tells the builder what word to look for, for example, it says 'house' for citizen huts. If the properties file is screwed up before it gets to those lines, then it won't read them. You might see a line in the modloader.txt file complaining about 'no properties file' or something similar.
