When minecolony is updated for 1.4, will it use modloader still or the modding api? If it does use the new api, will the modders have to recode the majority of the mod??? *Gulp*

There was some talk about switching to Forge instead of using ModLoader, but I'm not sure if the devs decided which to do yet...

Obviously the version of Modloader I have is borne out of when Modloader and Forge disagreed : it will NOT allow Forge to work in the same Jar file. Initially I declined to use add-ons that changed the Jar file but after meeting the AirShip Mod ( powered balloons ), BTW and then MineColony : I decided to try the Modloader so I can check out these interesting items : and WAS I EVER IMPRESSED!!!!!!! : I seriously enjoy Minecolony and it has made Minecraft more interesting ( I am mostly interested in the building part of it and Minecolony make THAT fun again ) with the balloon I can travel and check out my village lay-outs, find faults to fix up and plan stuff with BTW : well : the windmills are a liability with the weather , waterwheels are better, I like the fact that I can make different cuts of wood : the cooking is a great item too ADD Simply Horses and you have a interestingly nice working world the Clones from MyPeople can be helpful and if you have a problem using the Soldiers in Minecolony I STRONGLY suggest you get MyPeople to back you up and cover the protection gap. Humans+ is "nice" but they are ALL Hostile ( even as a " friendly" ) : disappointing. My Primary house ( build out of a mountain I settled into when I started and eventually expanded into a virtual city , it covers alot of ground and is self sufficient with crop, animals and Golem Guards ( the Snow Golems are great but I reduced them to protecting my Mine Shafts under the house when I learned to make Iron Golems that now protect my house and cover my back from intruders like Human+ that spawn almost EVERYWHERE : I would be in my livingroom watching the Mob Trap drop mobs ( ye they fall into my livingroom so I can pick up the items like a lazy King of my Mountain ) and NEXT THING I KNOW my Iron Golems are tossing around some random creep that spawned inside my Reading Room / Den!!!!!! Or worse: I befriended an Assasin, took him home and my Golems killed him : the Snow Golems started Firing on him then the Iron Golems waded in : he did not stand a chance .

Claysoldiers said that they would never make an smp version. When 1.3 came out though, they did. Will minecolony do the same???

As stated all over the place, MineColony will go actively SMP when enough stuff is done in the singleplayer version for the devs to be basically happy with it. Effectively, that means it won't go SMP, but it does mean it's possible sometime in the FAR future.

If its LAN, wont it be modifiable to smp even without the source code? Ill try this as soon as 1.3 minecolony comes out. Im sure u would all love a minecolony server!

LAN and smp are not actually the same. I'm sure it's a lot easier to port mods over to smp, but that doesn't mean it'd be a walk in the park.

And of course everyone would be able to interact with the same colony.. you wouldn't get one each !
