Hi all,
I have a fairly large village going, population 88. And still growing. Where I am confused is how I ended up with 2 builders when I built only one hut. I had only one builder for the longest time, but how I have 2. So far so good, no conflicting issues yet, and buildings are going up fairly fast. But I can't seem to get rid of either builder permanently. If I kill one, it comes back the next day.
Ideas?

Free buildier, don't complain Hmm as to how.. perhaps one of the chests has changed itself to a builder chest somehow ? Have you followed both of them at nightfall to see where they go back to? - that would confirm if it's 2 builders in one hut, or separate chests (in which case you can check the chests and maybe delete one??

Thanks for your response Peter. I did follow them, they go to different houses at night. They also go to the same builder's hut to retrieve their goods. I also checked all the chests I have, and I have one town hall, one builder, and everything else is Citizen's hut. I guess until it causes issues I can simply ignore it, it does have the benefit of building things a lot faster. I wasn't sure if it was a problem or a feature (as in, after so many villagers, you get an extra builder, which would be awesome!

Multiple builders have always been problematic in the past, but if they are working fine for you, then leave them to it I say

i get multiple builders, it really is not a huge issue to be concerned about unless they require extra resources that you lack. : I have had up to 6 on one project : multiple builders on a single box does not seem to happen because of anything particular that I can point to but while they might eat up resources for some, I have never really had a problem with it.
I DO also get multiple builders on a project if the builders are within range to detect the Targeted sign : such as for my recent Demolishing projects to pave the way for a road for the colonists to travel between settlements ( 538 blocks for this particular project, mostly water is in the way so there is alot I got to do myself ). I don't think the projects are done any faster but so long as things get done and I get the projects completed I am satisfied.

The only issue I noticed, and that's not really an issue in itself, is that they tend to both go after the same resources at the same time, which means that one of the two usually goes to get resources the other one already got. So other than a useless trip, not a big deal. I have this nice village going next to which I have a whole factory of mining/crafting/smelting of goods that go into different chests. I can see the builders go to any of those chests one behind each other, which is how I know they're looking for the same thing at the same time. That's kinda funny to watch actually..
