Since a couple other games were mentioned in a couple different threads, I thought I'd start this one for people to talk about other games, keeping the other threads on topic.
Like the sims, I love that game, and all the fun things you can do to mess with your sim.

I was disappointed with Sims Medieval (howeverthehell it's spelled), but I was rather enjoying Sims 2.

I was JUST going to post this thread, lol although my thread would have been more specific to older games.
Azure Dreams for the original Playstation, every time I think of that game I want to play it again.
I also play: The Witcher 2 World of Warcraft Elder Scrolls Games (When Skyrim comes out, you likely wont see me for a while, lol)
Then after that I tend to get obsessed with a game for a short while and then forget about it for a few months before I delete it from my computer.

I'm sure everyone who's an elder scrolls fan is going to seemingly disappear off the face of the earth for about a week minimum. I'm still going to be messing around with minecraft though, because I'm an addict.
Me and my girlfriend have been playing dead island for a couple days now, fun game.

My bf's going to get Skyrim. It won't run on my computer. I'll either just watch him play, or go through the awkwardness of borrowing his computer to play.
I play the internet... um. Been meaning to get into real WoW (I played private server WoW for a long while, but they started pulling some nasty bs), but we keep putting it off... Cooking cleaning, minecraft, blah blah blah.

Retail servers are great. On a private server, you'd be lucky if you could organize a 25 man raid with any sort of efficiency. If you managed to do it, you'd likely not have any competition. On retail servers, it's not uncommon to have guilds with a total of 800 members or so (counting alts and inactives), not uncommon to have several 10 man teams, and competitions with other guilds. PS, Skyrim will be worth hijacking computers for

I avoid WoW. It's pretty much one of the only games I see people needing an intervention for, which is not good for a game. My roommate says that Activision has pretty much started wrecking WoW now though, by making enemies easier to beat and releasing things faster.

Patch 4.2 brought about roughly a 30% nerf to the previous tier's bosses. That's huge.... One fight I healed for, I saw a very dangerous stack get up to 8 or 9, and the debuff on the tank was up to 3 or 4 stacks (wont get into the names or mechanics and such) and somehow we managed to survive. Back in 4.1, if the first stack ever got up to 5 or the second one ever got up to 2, then it was pretty much guaranteed a wipe.
Yeah, these nerfs are rediculous. And likely it'll happen to firelands when 4.3 comes out, which is the deathwing raid ALREADY. Too soon IMO
/end wow rant.

There were plenty of people on the server, so getting groups wasn't hard... the problem was most of them didn't know wtf they were doing. My bf's a top tier raid healer on his real WoW account, and he couldn't find anyone he could group with, because they all would try to control the group so they could Leroy Jenkins and blame him for not saving them. OfC, they're all DPS...
Blizzard's success has come from catering to the lowest common denominator. Of course they'd run WoW the same way. It's how it's kicked the sh-t out of better MMOs.
And for the record, EverQuest is worse for needing interventions. I'd already be playing EQ if my computer could run it. >.< I was addicted on a 2 week trial. There should be more interventions for XBox CoD players. Srsly, go look at some youtubes of people freaking out over dying... in a combat shooter game.

People who get so upset over something that matters so little should not be able to play video games. However the people that are capable of playing video games should still be able to enjoy games like WoW, EQ and CoD.

I'm guilty of raging at a series of deaths in shooter games. I'm pretty certain it's a natural reaction to being destroyed utterly.
Another game I play: D&D.

It's one thing if you're getting your ass handed to you. It's another thing if you just died once, and put your controller through the tv.

At that point, you need anger management and therapy.

Lol. That's my point. The few people who get addicted to MMOs or show anger problems on FPS games are crazy before they started playing.
