In fact, straight up do not use the barracks. It WILL crash your game right now.

You can't. It's not done, and is not usable right now.

You could place the sign, but i wouldn't recommend trying to use the block.
Anyhow its pretty big, like 22x22.
You could check for yourself by looking at the barracks floorplan...

I set it up then broke the block just to see how it looked. It didnt crash my game I left it there for a while too before I figured none of it was currently active, so I just broke the chest and left the building there.

Yea I think the crashes are more when a citizen attempts to Join the barracks that it doesn't go. I built the barracks via chest which it finished after about 3 crashes. I noticed though before a crash a settler was heading to it and a little while later the crash. Checking it out is probably best done at this time by plopping a block (not chest) and a build sign on it (block for positioning sense the floorplan is intended to work based on the sign being on the chest)

psst: building the Barracks : I love rc19 , but rc20 taught me a few things so it was not a rotal loss to loose a week's worth of world due to its strange ways:) drop a block: place a sign on top of the block : I know the block will end up inside the Barracks next to the stairs, same with the towers : the block with sign on top ends up inside next to the stairs. the Barracks are 20 wide x20 long. your sign on a block should be at line 13 ( deep inside the structure ) and 9th block from the outer wall : the Barracks Main door will be 13 blocks to the left of the sign : 9 blocks behind the sign is an outer wall that once you go outside and turn around to face the structure : that wall = the left wall. the Right wall ( looking at the structure ) will come 11 blocks from the sign : So: when you drop the sign: 9 behind it is a wall : 10 behind your character is the other wall : 13 to the left will be the front door ( while you are facing the sign ) Is that explicit enough?...LOL Barracks Box : nice in rc20 to get the guards, but I am not a fan of rc20 so I will not " go there " . It does exist in rc19 : but DO NOT USE IT in rc19 : it is not finished, the code is incomplete and ( i think ) it lacks image resources. but you can still enjoy the structures of the Barracks and towers : just place the signs on top of a block.
