GUess no-one has been to the Wiki in a while.. Seems to have gone all French !!!
Anyone know how to roll back all changes to a particular date..
Will have to lock down user creation too, as we now have over 500 registered users, all of which have contributed - lol

I think you have to do it by page. I want to work on the wiki, but I just moved, and I'm still unpacking. That has to be priority for me at least for awhile.

Hmm well it seems a complete vandalisation has been done by over 500 users... undoing that one page/user at a time will be a royal PITA *sigh* Front page is now in French

The community for the mod has always been small. There's about 5 people who regularly post. We see an influx when an update comes out, but that rarely lasts more than a week or two, even when updates were somewhat regular.
Yes, I agree that a wiki is pretty essential... but I can't work on the wiki until I at least have my kitchen unpacked, and my couch on the floor instead of leaning against a wall. In the meantime, the forums are here for anyone who has questions. It's not ideal, but it could be worse.
There are also several videos on youtube... though their quality tends to be poor. They do get the basic points across though.

I actually hated the first video Of Minecolony I saw : it was the Forums that convinced me it was worth putting into the game : and both myself and Grandma can NOT see minecraft being worth anything without MineColony involved in the files. Couches are for Kitties : you have a Kitty ? that is sweets:) I like Kitties

joeyddarkling No, I don't have a cat. I would very much like one, but I can't afford to keep one. No use getting a kitteh and letting it go hungry. jokeyx10 Thank you!

Ok, so what IS the current status of our wiki? Do we have one anymore? That isn't trashed by vandals?
Do I need to help with wiki duties? (I volunteer)
And do wikis HAVE to be publicly editable? Because if possible we need to lock this down so nobody who is not explicitly trusted can ever edit MineColony wiki pages ever again.
And finally, does anyone have backups of the MC building footprints / templates?

Mine is still there if someone can figure out how to fix the vandalism Is there a rollback option? backup copy? If not then page by page, one at a time. Edit: I see fake user accounts are still being created there even today. Step One. LOCK THAT WIKI DOWN NOW. If they're not sysops then they shouldn't have edit access. Wiki / wikimedia by default apparently allow public editing access by everyone. Until that changes then expect vandalization. This is all being done by bots. (You don't really think JedidiahBoynton847 is a living breathing person do you?) Step Two: Start appointing people you trust from the board as sysops. Preferably people willing to tackle the the chore of cleaning up the mess (assuming there's no rollback option then it's got to be done by hand and it's not going to happen by itself). Ideally there should be at least one moderate level of security between user and sysop but I don't see that looking at their help files, it's just user and sysop. Which sucks.
