What you're saying is when he destroys a block to make room for whatever he's building, he doesn't pick up that block. I noticed this a few versions back, and I agree, it's kindof annoying.

yes, for example, if i'd build a 1block width 2 blocks high corridor into a mountain and place the townhall chest there and say create building, he'd carve space into the mountain and not put the cobblestone (or whatever he may destroy) into his chest after work.

I've found another quirk... although, i dont think this is rc17 related.
normally, if you shift click something in the tools building dialog, it gives you as many of that item as you have ingredients.
If you shift click anything in the Bank chest, it saves chunks and dies.

I have sent the new link for the new RC17 to everyone (i think). If you didn't get a pm from me, please pm me again so i know who i missed.
I'll try to fix that bank bug in the meantime.

Eee. I got my ethernet cable for my computer. Looking forward to MineColony for 1.1. Thank you so much, Scott, for keeping us up to date on how far along it is.

So after removing and readding mods and observing the lumberjack, it does not seem there are any conflicts. If he has seedlings (any type, he still plants normal trees even if all he has are the other 2 types) he will replace trees he cuts down. He does not however pickup saplings(only takes them if they are in his chest), and I guess that is where my problem was. Even giving him several stacks he will burn through them all in a few days. Like I said normally I build in a forest biome and with Nature Overhaul the forest will replant itself faster than the lumberjack can clearcut it. Other biomes the regrowth cant keep up with him. So it is working the same as always, I just hadn't noticed a few of the fine points before.

Well, from what I understand about the lumberjack, he will pick up saplings, But only if he wanders over them, he will not actively seek them out.

I've thrown them at him, he won't pick them up. The women pick them up just fine (along with apples and cocoa, so it's good to put houses on the edge of your woodlot)

Lumberjack was coded long long time ago. There was no tree types, no high trees and any other stuff with trees. He check if there are any saplings near him, if yes he just destroy them and increase his sapling counter. Same with tree trunks. Thats why he uses only default trees.
I guess easier just rewrite him, than fix. But it will take tame.

Can you currently only make a bakers hut by using a sign?

All existing huts can be built by using the sign

I have to admit, i never use the Bank. I just want to be clear on what people expect to happen. Shift clicking on the left side should do nothing, but shift clicking on the right side should convert ALL the materials from the bottom inventory display, even those not dropped on the left hand side. For safetys sake, i'm going to assume only one material (say iron ingots) will be converted. Is that right?

I noticed when you use the recall on a miner, sometimes he gets stuck in the roof and dies. Also, the floor plans for the walls dont seem to work.

Which walls? I assume you specified a length on the sign?
