yesterday my Miner was saying down to the coal mines, then started the next lvl down and says down to the gold mines. he musta combined the iron with the coal and forgot to tell me.
Could there be an IF/then code for builder? like if builder needs planks, or fencing or wood steps, he would check his box, then if not there, take the wood and make his own? have a stockpile of the stuff from when i tear down what he made to try recycle some of the mats. or I looked thru the floorplans and wanted to see what they looked like and then took them down... fun times.
How does the miner deal with lava? i've had quite a few miners die and then I go down with a bucket of water and try moving the hazard. Also the red flicker/never despawn dead are bothersome. wonder if MCedit can delete an area and take the dead mob out of the way.

I've personally seen a miner filling in lava in front of him with cobblestone. Unfortunately he's not the greatest at this and still will likely die.

One thing I wish for in this mod is a barracks and guard post. Citizens would go to the barracks and guard post and become soldiers. As all soldiers would be able use weapons and armor depending on the buildings level. The guard post which start off as a would watchtower as he leveled up it would become stone and become taller. The barracks would eventually become a keep. And the soldiers from the barracks would be patrolling between the guard posts or they can be assigned to guard a citizen of your settlement .
I would love for this to be added because my settlement would be able to finally defend itself.

Before we do guards, i am going to do the hunter. Me and vlad have already discussed barracks and guards and archers. The spawn will be seperate from the town hall. So the army will be its own total. Archers would have 'towers' and guards would have posts. I was hoping to use the tower1 floorplan somehow.

Have seen settlers collecting experience orbs. But they have not level system. Basically they could get +1 HP for level up. In advanced way, it could be new skills.

Hmm. Haven't seen that but it makes sense that they would collect them. Currently they do level up slightly. I believe if they kill 3 animals, their damage goes from 1 to 2. But thats the only improvement they have. XP orbs would be the right way, i'll have to fix that.

The miner digs diagonally down to the 'basecamp', which is the spot hes at when he reaches the level he starts sprialling at. The level is based on the hut level.
If he finds ore that he can dig (ie, has the appropriate tool), then he digs that out best as he can. And that can lead him down or up several levels.
When its time to come back to sleep, he checks how far the path would be by following tunnels and compares it to a straight line path (which means digging alot). If the straightline path is less than a third of the spiral path, he digs a shortcut.
The big inspiration was thinking of the spiral. There were many suggestions on how to code a miner and they all were very complicated. The spiral is easy and still lets you strip mine.

I have a few suggestions:
1) Repairman: Fixes buildings that are been damaged by monsters/rain/fire (or something)
2)Roadworker: Connect your buildings by make a road. Tier one: Plank rood Tier two: Stone road Tier trhee: Cobblestone like that, you can give him also order to make a road by place a sign in the begin and to the end.
3)Fireman: Puts out fire 4)Police: Arrest criminal (workless) people, that are stealing or destroying. 5)Paramedic/Docter: Heal injurded people.
6)Cementry,people that get died get a grave here
Its just some impuslive idea's.

Also it would be nice to see what level a building is and of a next buildingplan is availble (if my house is on the max and I push upgrade once more the builder will build the next level (but that isnt there).
Maybe a list what the builder can build (just list that presents the option in floorplans)

Have heard rumor of icons for "broken" tools and an anvil are in the current 1.9.4 pre release.. This hints at a future ability to repari broken weapons/tools Would be great to plan ahead and think about a blakcsmith for the Colony, who collects the broken tools from the resource gatherers (via the delivery boy) - repairs them using whatever consumable is appropriate, and then returns them to the resource gatherers (via the delivery boy!!)

The repair option will be done after i do the hunter. I'm going to redo the builder and put in that option. It should also remove the 'ugrade house' when there is no more upgrade options. And the direction of the house will be saved. But thats still far in the future. Curious about the road maker, i was thinking about that. And as similar issue, a rail maker. First i want to make a wall/bridge option for the builder.

They are just ideas for futher away :-)
Maybe its possible that the builder will let you know of there is enough space to place them.

Hm, I think adding in the miner's ignore list to the properties file might be useful, that way I can just manually put it in for him to ignore abundant blocks like marble in the red power mod

Didn't read any posts here, but would like to see the new windows panes used in floorplans vice the window glass blocks. Also, saves on glass, environmentally friendly. ;D
