I think it'd be a great idea when/if the mod's updated for there to be a config file where one can add blockIDs for the Dman to pick up. That'd make him compatible with a lot of mods, not just a few.

While I don't like deleting threads that aren't just accidental multi-posting of the same thing, I do try to lock threads to keep the discussion of a particular issue to one or two threads.
The problem is that most new people don't read old threads at all. They just post new ones. Leaving one post up and unlocked won't channel new people to itself. If i block new people from making threads, they'll just post in other threads that aren't related (even more than they do now).

You don't have to use Magic Launcher, but if it helps, by all means do so!
I would reccomend running Minecraft after installing ModLoader to make sure it's installed correctly, and so it can create the "resources" and "mods" folders for you, in the correct location.

It can't really be stopped. You're getting that animation and sound when one of the NPCs breaks a tool.

Thank you for reading some of the older posts. Far too few people seem to understand how to use a forum nowadays. MineColony is still available for 1.2.5, and there's a group trying to re-code a similar mod for the current version of Minecraft. There's links to their page all over the place.

At one point, MineColony was included in the Technic pack.

Short answer: It's not.
Long answer: It's likely not, because the rate that Minecraft updates is faster than the one dev can re-code the mod for. IF MineColony ever updates, it will be Very far into the future, so it won't be to 1.4.6.

Not possible. The one dev who is working on this mod doesn't seem to have permission to share the code, and can't get ahold of the other devs to get said permission.
Basically, the assumption is that MineColony will not update.

Obviously not. I'm seriously considering locking the entire forum, so nobody can create new threads or comments, so if anyone wants info, they have to READ OLD POSTS.

Nobody has contact with the old devs. Seriously. Only Rscott is maintaining contact with the forum, and HE can't even get ahold of the others. He doesn't have time to do the mod on his own.
To update the mod, it'd have to be a complete re-coding, with the changes between 1.2.5 and 1.3. It's no less work than the new mod... and no, the new mod is NOT going to be just a copy. It's going to have a few of the basic elements of MineColony, and be pretty damn different aside from that.
TL;DR: There is no way to get what you're asking to happen. Period.

AS FAR as anyone knows, this mod won't be updating. Locking this thread.

This mod still works with 1.2.5. You need the ModLoader for 1.2.5. Check on the ModLoader page for "previous versions" to download the correct version.

READ POSTS. Seriously, there are posts about this all over:
There has never been a percentage bar because the mod has always had the motto: "it's done with it's done."
It's also posted everywhere that this mod is being continued by ONE DUDE in his spare time. We can't even say IF the mod will be updated, much less when.
The "new mod" has it's own forum. Look around for the link. Their progress is updated regularly on their own forums.
I am now locking this thread.

Right now, there is one coder working on MineColony, on and off around a busy work schedule. Don't expect an update to this mod within the next several months.

That's the point I made on the thread on the other site. Speaking of which, discussion about that mod should stay over there. I don't want anyone to get confused.
